Identification If you have a Gateway 200ARC and are running Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 2000, install these drivers. Installation The driver files extract to C:\Cabs\9522223. 1. From the Start menu, click Run. 2. In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9522223\Setup. Click OK. 3. In the Modem dialog box, click OK. 4. In the Modem dialog box, to restart the computer, click OK. Removal Windows XP 1. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs. 3. In the Add or Remove Programs window, select Agere Systems AC’97 Modem, and then click Change/Remove. 4. In the Warning dialog box, click Yes. 5. In the Restart dialog box, click Yes. Windows 2000 1. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon. 3. In the Add/Remove Programs window, select Agere Systems AC’97 Modem, and then click Change/Remove. 4. In the Warning dialog box, click Yes. 5. In the Restart dialog box, click Yes. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
