Identification If you have a Gateway 450ROG, 450RGH, M505, or M275 notebook computer and are running Windows XP, install this driver. Installation 1. Close all open windows, except this readme.txt file if instructions are needed. 2. If you have not already done so, locate and double-click the 9521479.exe file that you downloaded from the Internet. This file should be located on your desktop. Files are extracted to the C:\Cabs\9521479 folder. 3. From the Start menu, click Control Panel. 4. In Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance. 5. In Performance and Maintenance, click the System icon. 6. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. 7. In Device Manager, click the plus sign (+) next to Processors, and then double-click Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor. 8. In the Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver. 9. In the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, click Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), and then click Next. 10. In the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, select Don't search I will choose the driver to install, and then click Next. Note: If prompted for a hardware type, select Sound, video, and game controllers and then click Next. 11. In the next dialog box, click Have Disk. 12. In the Install From Disk dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\9521479. Click OK. 13. In the Hardware Update Wizard dialog box, select Intel GV3 Processor and then click Next. 14. Files copy. 15. In the Completing the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Finish. 16. In the Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor Properties dialog box, click Close. 17. In the System Settings Change dialog box, click Yes. Removal These drivers are necessary for correct functionality of the system and should not be removed. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
