Overview

This document describes the steps necessary to install and configure the Windows XP Intel Chipset drivers for the Gateway notebook computers listed in the Applicable Part Numbers section below.


Identification

If you have a Gateway notebook computer listed below and are running Windows XP, install this driver.


Installation

1.  The files extract to the C:\Cabs\D00231-001-001 folder. 

2.  From the Start menu, point to Programs, Accessories, and then click Windows Explorer.

3.  In Windows Explorer, in the C:\Cabs\D00231-001-001 folder, double-click Setup.exe.

4.  In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.

5.  In the License Agreement dialog box, click Next.

6.  In the Readme Information dialog box, click Next.

7.  Click Finish to restart the computer.  


Removal

These drivers are necessary for correct functionality of the computer and should not be removed.


Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the installation steps again.
