It copies files and creates the neccessary registry entries. Installation Instructions: Copy the DD_DCFWRWIN2KXP_110.zip to a distinct directory (e.g. PCO). Unzip the file. After installation of the FireWire interface, connecting the pco.camera and powering on the camera the computer should automatically recognize the new hardware and request you to insert the driver installation disk. 1. Select the above directory (e.g. PCO) with the hardware driver. 2. Verify the selection of the file 'pco1394.inf'. 3. The necessary drivers will be installed now.. 4. You are now ready to install a camera control software. During Installation you will get a message box 'Digital Signature not found'. Press the 'Yes' button to continue installation. If you connect any other pco.camera with the same interface you will be requested to install the driver again. In this case you do not have to reinsert the driver disk, because the system recovers the installation from its oem.inf database. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
