[1] Driver Infomation
=====================
The OS envirnments supported by the USB 2.0 Host Card Driver are provided in the list 
below:

	- Windows 98
	- Windows Me
	- Windows 2000
	- Windows XP
	- MacOS 8.6-9.x
	- MacOS 10.1-10.1.5
	- MacOS 10.2.x(Jaguar) or newer

where the drivers for MacOS 8.6-9.x are built-in.

**Note: 1.MacOS 8.6-9.x can only support USB 1.1. If you want to enjoy USB 2.0 High-Speed,
          please upgrade your OS to Mac OS X.
        2.Mac OS 10.2.x (Jaguar Only) Driver, This release of the driver requires Mac OS 
          v10.2.x or newer. This driver will not work with older Mac OS X versions.
        3.Mac OS 10.1.5 Driver, This release of the driver requires Mac OS X v10.1 - 10.1.5,
          which is a free Mac OS X upgrade available from Apple.

[3] The known issues on the Driver
==================================
(1)If you remove the card directly under Windows 2000, there will be no response to the USB 2.0 
   CardBus Card when Next-insert, you must reboot.

(2)The system may have problem under Windows 98/ME when you remove directly or by clicking the 
   windows Removable icon on the task tray. For removing the USB 2.0 CardBus Card, please refer
   to User Manual, "Safely Remove USB2.0 PC Card Under Windows 98/ME".

(3)For some notebook PCs, there may have problems when start-up with the USB 2.0 CardBus Card 
   connected to USB devices. In this case, please remove the USB devices and reboot.

(4)For Windows ME, there may have a green question mark next to a USB Mass Storage Device in the
   Device Manager, the USB device can function normally still.

(5)Under Windows ME, sometimes the system only recognized two 1.1 functions "NEC PCI to USB Open
   Host Controller". In this case, please go to Start->Control Panel->System->Device Manager,
   uninstall this two "NEC PCI to USB Open Host Controller" in the Universal Serial Bus 
   Controllers class, unplug and plug-in again.
   
(6)Some of the Notebook such as, Acer TM 420 and HP Pavilion xf328 built-in with "O2Micro OZ6912
   CardBus Controller", the CardBus USB 2.0 Host Card cannot detect the external USB 2.0 hard
   disk with NTFS format. Furthermore, the external USB 2.0 hard disk with FAT32 format, it cannot
   write data into disk and caused the system crash, and the hard disk status become unformatted,
   but it can read data from FAT32 disks.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
