JMB36X RAID Driver Release Note

    - Note
        - ABIT subsystem vendor ID 0x1082147B was added in inf.
        - Changing the disk reporting sequence for Vista. After changing, the scenario should be as followings.
            1. Install Vista with a mirror RAID of hard disk A and B.
            2. Revert A to non-RAID disk in BIOS.
            3. Booting with both A and B connected.
            4. Booting with B alone will succeed.
            5. Booting with A alone will fail.
        - The setup program will overwrite all installed files and start menu items with the newly installed files and items.
          (Eg, If the user has installed Gigabyte package first and now install JMicron Package, the setup program will overwrite all Gigabyte files and items with newly installed JMicron package.)

    - Note
        - Add a dialog box for user to select to replace MS MS standard IDE driver with our JMicron driver when detecting single IDE.
          (Silent mode will not show this dialog, always install JMicron driver)
        - Provide IDE setup program that is embeded in our current JMB36X setup program.
          (When setup program detect single IDE controller, it will show a wizard dialog for user to select IDE driver or JMicron SCSI driver. 
          In other cases (NOT single IDE controller), the wizard dialog will not appear. In silent install mode, 
          the default is to install JMicron driver for single IDE controller.)
        - After installing JMicron SCSI WHQL driver under single mode, users change to Multi-function mode. A program will automatically be launched to detect 
          if multi-IDE mode is installed with JMicron SCSI driver. If yes, it will call another program to install standard IDE driver.
        - Adding JMB369 device ID in jmide.inf.
        - MSI subsystem vendor ID 0x72381462 was added in inf.
        
    - Issue Correction
        - JM20336 enclosure failed to be detected.
        - SATA detection failed sometimes.
        - Fix the issues of installing IDE driver when install multi-function mode under win2000/winXP/win2003 Server 32Bit

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
