CIRFLASH V90 Ver. 1.01 ---------------------- This program is to use for download V90 firmware to Internal ISA Modem. Cirflash runs on Win95, and maybe on WinNT & Win98. HISTORY ------- Ver 1.01 add / fix following things: - Allow Customer to load their own bitmap file - FlshLogo.bmp, and to change the application title by modifying the text file, Apptitle.txt. - If Flash type is ISSI then after finish downloading, a message box will ask user to reboot system. - Fixed: Increase Downloading-check-time to 10 instead of 4 to compensate for some slow response system. INSTALLATION ------------ To install this software, you should close all other running applications except Explorer and then run Setup.exe on Disk1 to start installation. STEPS TO DOWNLOAD TO FLASH ON Win95 ------------------------------------ . Run Cirflash : Click Start\Programs\Cirflash . Select Com port which has Cirrus Modem installed on it. . Select Bin file to download. . Click Download to start downloading. To Verify download: Click "Modem On/Off (toggle)" to talk to modem. FLASH V90 DEBUG HELP -------------------- FLASH DETECTION FAIL: If FlashV90 may not detect modem-flash type then following are things you need to check: 1. Modem is Cirrus-type but it is not an Pcmcia Modem. 2. turn on the pcmcia card power . click control panel\power\pc-card modem\ . slect alwey turn on pc-card power 3. the installed System has loaded Communicaton port driver which cause conflict to FlashV90.exe, for instance TURBOVCD.VXD. Step to disable TURBOVCD.VXD driver: . Open file \Windows\system.ini by using Notepad.exe . Search for "TURBOVCD.VXD" and Comment ";" this line . Reboot system to unload this driver then Run FlashV90.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
