Toshiba Pocket PC USB Driver

Installation instructions for Windows 98SE
-------------------------------------------

1. Before you begin, you'll need to note the folder path where you
extracted the files from the downloaded archive. If you accepted the
default path, it's C:\PocketPCUSB.temp. These instructions assume
    the default path.

2. Install Microsoft ActiveSync on the computer that you will be connecting
with your Toshiba Pocket PC. Proceed with the installation up to the
point where the installation displays the "Get Connected" dialog box. At
this point you should exit the installation.

3. Plug the Pocket PC Cradle into the USB connector on the computer that
you will be connecting with your Pocket PC and then plug your Pocket PC
into the cradle. At this point the Found New Hardware wizard will start.

4. Click "Next"

5. Click "Search for best driver...", then "Next"

6. Click "Specify location..."

7. Browse to the C:\PocketPCUSB.temp folder where you extracted the USB
    Driver files, and click "Next"

8. Click to "Finish" the installation.

9. Run ActiveSync and create a standard partnership.

10. At this point, you can sync your Toshiba PDA with your PC.

NOTE: Under Windows Pocket PC 2002 (PPC2002), the USB driver installation
process will work with ActiveSync v3.5, but will fail with newer
versions of ActiveSync. Please use ActiveSync 3.5 with PPC2002.

Under Windows Mobile 2003 (PPC2003), the USB driver installation
process will work with ActiveSync v3.7. Please use ActiveSync 3.7
      with PPC2003.
