Detailed Instructions for installing the Toshiba RAID Controller Driver on a fresh hard drive

1.  Copy the contents of this archive onto a floppy disk.
2.  Attach a USB Floppy Drive to the machine
3.  Insert your Microsoft Windows XP Home/Pro Edition Bootable CD
4.  When the initial setup begins, look for a message at the bottom of the screen that states, "Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver..."
5.  Press "F6"
6.  In approximately 30 seconds, the setup will prompt that you have chosen to manually specify an adapter.
7.  Press "S"
8.  Setup will prompt you to insert the driver disk into the A: drive
9.  Select the "TOSHIBA RAID Driver for Windows XP/Win2000"
10. Setup will return to the same screen as in step #6, but it will show that you have selected the "TOSHIBA RAID driver for Windows XP/Win2000"
11. Press "Enter" to continue.
12. Continue the installation of Windows XP as normal

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
