INSTALLING AND UNISTALLING THE QUATTRO-PCI IN WINDOWS 2000/XP INSTALLING To install the Quattro-PCI card in Windows 2000/XP, you must first remove all previously installed LAVA driver files. They are some or all of: c:\winnt\inf\lavaosp.inf c:\winnt\inf\oem(x).inf c:\winnt\inf\lavaomf.inf c:\winnt\inf\lavamf.inf c:\winnt\inf\lavasp.inf Assuming the installation uses the default directories, the files will be located in the directories above. UNINSTALLING To uninstall the Quattro-PCI from its new installation, first uninstall the Quattro-PCI Ports A,B,C,D. This is done by entering Device Manager|Ports, highlighting the ports, and selecting Uninstall. Next, uninstall the parent devices from under Multifunction Adapters. This is done by entering Device Manager|Multifunction Adapters, highlighting the parent devices, and selecting Uninstall. Finally, remove c:\winnt\inf\lavaosp.inf and c:\winnt\inf\oem(x).inf files along with the c:\winnt\system32\drivers\qserial.sys file.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
