NETWARE 5 SERVER DRIVER INSTALLATION
=======================================

Introduction
------------
This documentation covers the information for installing
NetWare Server drivers for ET32/P PCI Ethernet adapter.

The Driver location and file name is : \NW5\ET32NW.LAN

Before installation, please make sure the PCI adapter has been
installed in your server and the cable is connected to an active
hub.

Driver Installation
-------------------
When you install driver under Netware 5, If the system can auto-detec a PCI
Ethernet adapter, then the installation precedure starts from Step 5.
If the system can not be able to identify PCI Ethernet adapter. please follow the under
mentioned procedures:

(1) Execute the command under NetWare console prompt:

    :load nwconfig <enter>

(2) Select "Driver Options" from the "Configuration Options" window.

(3) Choose "Configure Network Drivers" from the "Driver Options" window.

(4) Press enter on "Discover and load drivers"
    
(5) Press enter to choose driver from list when the following message
    is displayed on screen.

    Install found the following hardware but was unable to find a
    matching driver PCI Lan controller.
    

(6) Press <Insert> key to install an unlist driver.

(7) Press <F3> to specify a different path for the unlisted LAN driver.
  
(8) Insert the adapter driver diskette into disk drive A:.

(9) Enter the directory path as "A:\NW5".

(10)The major purpose of this installation is to help you to compose a
    command line for loading a specific LAN driver in a user-friendly
    manner. All selections for the driver parameters have provided
    sufficient help messages. Please follow the on-screen instruction
    to complete your installation.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
