        NetWare 4.x Server Driver Installation
        ======================================

Two sections are covered in this information as below:

        * DRIVER PARAMETER DEFINITION
        * DRIVER INSTALLATION

   DRIVER PARAMETER DEFINITION
   ---------------------------

   DRIVER : ET32NW.LAN

Parameter Description Valid Values and Notes
   --------------------------------------------------------------------
   PCIBOARD PCI board number 1,2,3,4

This parameter specifies a specific ET32/Px adapter when multiple
ET32/Px adapters are installed in one system. If only one ET32/Px
adapter is installed, it is not necessary to specify this option.
The driver will search the adapter automatically.
   --------------------------------------------------------------------
FRAME Packet Frame type Ethernet_802.2, Ethernet_II,
                                   Ethernet_802.3, Ethernet_SNAP

If not specified, the driver uses Ethernet_802.2 as default.
   --------------------------------------------------------------------

   DRIVER INSTALLATION
   -------------------

   1. USE "LOAD INSTALL" COMMAND.

Netware 4.0x/4.1 supports loading LAN drivers via server INSTALL
program interactively. This loading method needs a *.LDI file
      together with the driver file.

The directory \NW4X of the driver diskette has been properly
prepared with the server drivers *.LAN files and *.LDI files for
      the driver installation.

Make sure the adapter has been installed in your server before you
      start the installation.

      Follow these procedures:

      (1) Execure the command under Netware console prompt:

              :load install <enter>

      (2) Select "LAN Driver Options" from the "Installation Options"
          window.

      (3) A list of LAN drivers is showed up.

      (4) Press <Ins> hot key to load a LAN driver not listed.

      (5) Press <F3> to enter a directory path for the unlisted
          LAN drivers.

      (6) Insert this adapter driver diskette into disk driver A:.

      (7) Enter the directory path as "A:\NW4X".

      (8) ET32NW driver is listed as below:

ET32NW.LAN KTI ET32/Px Series PCI Ethernet Adapter

      (9) Each selection in the rest procedures provides a "help"
message window to support your installtion conveniently.

      (10) The major purpose of this installation is to help you to
compose a command line of loading a specific LAN driver with
proper parameters through a user-friendly way. All selections
of the driver parameters have been provided sufficient help
message. Please follow the on-screen instruction to complete
           your installtion.

   2. USE "LOAD ET32NW ..." COMMAND.

You may load the server driver directly under Netware console
prompt. However, make sure you have copied all drivers and the
required NLM files from the driver diskette into your proper
direcotry in the server before loading the driver.

To load ET32NW.LAN driver, follow the commands as below:

        :load et32nw [parameter=value]

The supported parameters are summarized as below:

              Valid values
Parameter (none) means parameter is not specified.
   --------- -----------------------------------------
   PCIBOARD 1,2,3,4
              (none) -- auto search

   FRAME Ethernet_802.2, Ethernet_802.3,
              Ethernet_SNAP, Ethernet_II
   --------- -----------------------------------------
Note : All parameter names and values are caps insensitive.
