Usage of libary of raid-subsystem:

Structure of folders:
1. apps: This folder contains source files

2. help: This folder contains help files

3. include: This folder contains header files

4. bin: This folder contains the binary library[.a | .lib] and output files

5. darwin: This folder contains the makefile and shell-script for Tiger, Leopard 32bit and Snow Leopard both 32 and 64bit.
6. freebsd: This folder contains the makefile and shell-script for FreeBSD 32bit or 64bit.
7. linux: This folder contains the makefile and shell-script for Linux 32bit or 64bit.
8. solaris: This folder contains the makefile and shell-script for Solaris 32bit or 64bit.
9. win32: This folder contains the VS2005 project related files for Windows.


How to build the demo program ?

1. Darwin: Demo program for darwin
   compiling:
   Execute the "makedemo" shell-script in the location /darwin/32/u/demo( for Tiger, Leopard 32 bit Universal )
   Execute the "makedemo" shell-script in the location /darwin/64/u/demo( for Snow Leopard 32 and 64 bit Universal )

2. Freebsd: Demo program for FreeBSD
   Compiling:
   Execute the "makedemo" shell-script in the location /freebsd/i386/demo ( for i386 FreeBSD )
   Execute the "makedemo" shell-script in the location /freebsd/x86-64/demo( for x86-64 FreeBSD )


3. Linux: Demo program for linux
   Compiling:
   Execute the "makedemo" shell-script in the location /linux/i386/demo ( for i386 linux )
   Execute the "makedemo" shell-script in the location /linux/x86-64/demo ( for x86-64 linux )


4. Solaris: Demo program for solaris: 
   Compiling:
   Execute the "makedemo" shell-script in the location /solaris/i386/demo ( for i386 solaris )
   Execute the "makedemo" shell-script in the location /solaris/x86-64/demo ( for x86-64 solaris )

5. Win32: Demo program for Windows  
   Compiler: Microsoft C++ compiler
   IDE: Visual C++ .NET 2005

Note: 
The OUTDIR = /bin/[OS]/[PLATFORM]/demo/release
eg. OS=linux, PLATFORM=i386 OUTDIR=/bin/linux/i386/demo/release

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
