........To ensure a trouble-free installation, please observe the following recommendations : 

........Directly before performing the installation routine you may wish to reboot Windows(R) . 

........Close any open applications and other background tasks which are started automatically with Windows(R) (eg. MSN messenger, WinAmp etc.). 

........Disconnect the host PC from the internet and temporarily deactivate your virus scanner software. 

........Disconnect or switch off any other USB devices which are not being used.

........Use a direct USB connection to the host PC, do not use a USB Hub. 

........Before installing drivers, it is a good idea to make a backup of your system if possible. 

........Connect the BCF2000 to the PC and power on. 

........Allow the Windows(R) Hardware Installation Wizard to install the native USB / MIDI drivers

........If you are prompted to search the internet for drivers, please select "no, not this time" (third option) 

........For each "Windows Logo Test" message, always choose "continue installation". 

........The Windows(R) Hardware Installation Wizard will be run twice in total. 

........Unzip the set-up.exe file and double click the icon to start. 

........Follow the instructions on the splash-screen. 

........After installing drivers it is a good idea to reboot Windows(R) (although this is not absolutely necessary).

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
