PRODUCT INFORMATION

This OAL (OEM Adaptation Layer) is based on the AMD Geode™ LX processor and 486 
OAL shipped with the Platform Builder. Power Management is supported in the OAL 
through a BIOS/Loader call.

- Support for serial and Ethernet KITL.
- Seamless suspend/resume across multimedia playback.
- OHCI USB support including proper handoff between legacy and interrupt-based

seconds to enumerate.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Installation.
*************
1) Create $(_WINCEROOT)\Platform\GeodeLX dir
2) Copy all the files  to $(_WINCEROOT)\PLATFORM\GeodeLX
3) Import the GeodeLX.cec file into the catalog.

CONFIGURATION INSTRUCTIONS  
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Set BSP_SUSPENDS3=1 to put the device to S3 state when the system is suspended.
Set BSP_SUSPENDS1=1 to put the device to S1 state when the system is suspended.
If both the flags are not defined or both are defined, then the device will go
to S1 on a suspend.

Set BSP_SKITL=1 to build a image with serial kitl support. Copy the image to 
the ce boot disk and boot locally. The image will block untill the Platform 
builder copnnects to it. Configure the connectivity options from 
Target-->Connectivity Options menu. Set the Download option to be none and Set 
the Transport Option as Serial.
Set the buadrate=115220, 8, N, 1, no h/w flow control. Save the settings.
Now select Target-->Attach Device from the menu.

1) Create a platform using this BSP
2) Add the neccessary drivers.
3) Build your platform in the normal way.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
