PRODUCT INFORMATION  
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the AMD Windows® CE driver for a system based on the AMD Geode™ LX 
processor and CS5536 companion device. It supports Microsoft® Windows® CE 5.0 
for x86 CPUs.

Features
--------
The AES block in the AMD Geode™ LX processor chip provides 128-bit hardware 
encryption and decryption using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 
algorithm.

The driver is implemented as a stream driver. All the device functions are 
implemented as device IOCTLs. The AES application can open "AES1:" and use the
IOCTLS to encrypt, decrypt data. There are IOCTLS implemented to configure the 
device.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS  
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Create the 
   <platform root>\Src\Drivers\GeodeLXAES folder on the build system.
2. Copy/unzip the AES dir contents to your dir created in step 1. 
3. Use Manage Catalog to add this driver to your platform
   builder catalog (From PB, select File\Manage Catalog Features; then
   Import; then select the button.cec file in the dir from i) above.)
4. Add the driver to your platform, by dragging it from the catalog,
   or right clicking on it in the catalog, and selecting Add to Platform.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
