Updated PCSC Drivers for ACx30 Series: 14/Jan/2008
Release for windows 98/ME, 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista (32-bit and 64-bit)


2. History

Version: ACS v3.0.0.1 Vista (RW)  Date: 14-January-2008
- Release for windows 98/ME, 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista (32-bit and 64-bit)
- WHQL certified drivers signed by Microsoft for 2000, XP, Vista x86 and Vista x64
- Fixed handling of backwards inserted card
- Removed timeout for APDU commands, the timeout gave troubles in driver stability.
- Re-initialize Data received event (used to signal data received) when waking up after sleepmode/hibernation.
  This fixes a problem with reader dissapearing after waking up from sleepmode/hibernation 
  (reader response in CardPower wasn't handled properly).
- Fixed a (potential) bug in FormatRecvBuffer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
