Netware Client32 Driver for DOS/Windows 3.1x
Introduction:
-------------
This document describes the procedure to install the NetWare Client32
driver for D-Link DGE-528T Gigabit Ethernet Adapter.
Location of Driver: \NWCLIENT\CLIENT32\DGE528.LAN

STARTNET.BAT (Client 32 for DOS will contain):

A. Driver Installation Procedures on Clien32 for DOS :
------------------------------------------------------
1.If you have completed installed the Netware Client 32 for DOS, all
you have to do is to modify STARTNET.BAT. Please see the sample
STARTNET.BAT above. If not, Please follow the next step 2 - step 7.
2.Run INSTALL.EXE from Netware Client 32 for DOS diskette 1 (or from
Netware 4.11 CD). When the product manual appears, mark the
"Netware Client 32 for DOS" item, then press <Enter>.
3.Select "OTHER DRIVERS" item from "32-bit Network Board Drivers"
menu, then press <Enter>.
4.Insert DGE-528T Driver Diskette, then specify the path
on your system.
5.Select "D-Link DGE-528T Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" then press <Enter>.
6.Following instructions to complete the Client32 for DOS software
installation.
7.Reboot your machine.
Installation Notes:
-------------------
1.Installing Multiple LAN Adapters:
The keyword "SLOT" is provided for multiple LAN adapters in a
single server by the driver DGE528.LAN. So, add EtherID in LOAD
commands. For example:
C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\NIOS.EXE
LOAD LSLC32.NLM
LOAD CMSM.NLM
LOAD ETHERTSM.NLM
LOAD DGE528 FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 SLOT=1
LOAD DGE528 FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 SLOT=2
2. The keyword "MEDIUMTYPE" is provided for specifying adapter's speed
(10M/100M/1000M), add MEDIUMTYPE in LOAD commands. For example:
MEDIUMTYPE=AUTO ----> Auto negotiation
MEDIUMTYPE=1000FULL ----> 1000M FullDuplex
MEDIUMTYPE=100FULL ----> 100M FullDuplex
MEDIUMTYPE=100HALF ----> 100M HalfDuplex
MEDIUMTYPE=10FULL ----> 10M FullDuplex
MEDIUMTYPE=10HALF ----> 10M HalfDuplex
LOAD DGE528 FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 MEDIUMTYPE=AUTO
B. Driver Installation Procedures on Client32 for Windows 3.x :
---------------------------------------------------------------
Refer to Content A. On step 2, mark "Netware Client 32 for DOS" and
"Client 32 for Windows". On step 4, specify the path on your system.
Like \NWCLIENT\CLIENT32\DGE528.LAN , then following step 3..7 to
complete the installation.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
