  Remote boot procedure for DX200W / DX200V PCI in Windows NT ver 4.0

 STEP-1  : Copy all the MS-DOS files either from a DOS client or from  the 
 floppy   drive   of   the   WINDOWS-NT   server    to   
\systemroot\RPL\RPLFILES\BINFILES\DOSxxx  directory,   where    xxx  is  
the version number (for example DOS622).   You  may      have  to remove 
the hidden file attribute in order  to  copy    the  system  files.  Copy 
files only to an  existing  DOSXXX   directory; do not create a new 
directory.  For example,  any  version  of  MS-DOS6.2X must be copied  
to  existing  DOS622  directory.

 STEP-2 : Make   a   directory  called  DAX200  in   the   path ,  
          \systemroot\RPL\BBLOCK\NETBEUI\DAX200

          Copy  the files PROTOCOL.INI & DOSBB.CNF from the  directory  
          A:\NTRBOOT\DOS  to the 
           \systemroot\RPL\BBLOCK\NETBEUI\DAX200 directory.

         Copy the MS-DOS device driver RTSND.DOS  from the directory 
         A:\NDIS2 to  the 
          \systemroot\RPL\BBLOCK\NDIS directory.

          Copy the RTL8139.NIF file from the directory A:\NDIS2 to
         \systemroot\RPL\RPLFILES\BINFILES\LANMAN.DOS\DRIVERS\NIF directory.

STEP-3  : Run  rplcmd  utility to add a new boot block record.  The command           
         line is as follows:     
          C:\winnt\rpl>rplcmd
          Adapter Boot Config Profile Service Vendor Wksta (Quit):b
          Add Del Enum:a
          Boot Name=DAX200b
          VendorName=000021
          BbcFile-BBLOCK\NETBEUI\DAX200\DOSBB.CNF
                  All other parameters are optional
          BootComment-boot profile for DAX200
          WindowSize=0
          Adapter Boot Config Profile Service Vendor Wksta (Quit):c
          Add Del Enum:a
          ConfigName=DAX200c
          BootName=DAX200b
          DirName=DOS
          DirName2=Dos622  (enter the specific DOS path if  not  using                                      
                              DOS6.22 e.g. DOS500 for DOS v5.00)
          Fitshared=fits\dos622.FIT (the name is case sensitive.  Make
                                          sure it is enter as shown)   
          FitPersonal=fits\dos6.22p.FIT (same as above)
          ConfigComment=DOS6.22DX200
          For DirName3 and DirName4 leave it blank.

 STEP4    : Now a new profile for the DAX200 cards has  been  created.
          In  the REMOTEBOOT MANAGER ICON in the NT server,  create  a
          new profile by selecting this new configuration DAX200.

 STEP5    : Add this profile in the NT server.

 STEP6    : Enable  the remote bootrom of the DX200W / DX200V  PCI card  in
          the   node. Disconnect  Netware server  if any available in the network.

 STEP7    :  The node will be recognised in the Remote  boot  Manager
          ICON  as  "UNKNOWN  ADAPTER ID 000021xxxxx."  Once  this  message
          appears,  from  the  Remote Boot  Manager  menu,  Select
          CONVERT   ADAPTERS so that this unidentified workstation can be
          configured   with  a username and password. In the profile section,
          select  the   profile which you had created for DX200W / DX200V cards.

 Reboot the node and the node will boot DOS from NT. If the node  does  not
 have a local harddisk, once the node remote boots to NT, NT  will  act as
 the local drive C for the remote node. If the remote node  has  a  local harddisk,
 NT will act as drive C and the actual local  drive  connected in the node will be
 drive D.

 The node will remote boot successfully.
