You will want to select "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer". 2. Windows 95 will prompt your for the disk to install the drivers from. B. Installing Windows 95 after the installing the Stealth 3D ------------------------------------------------------------- 1. If you install Windows 95 after you have installed the Stealth 3D 2000, Windows 95 will use a generic S3 driver for the Stealth 3D 2000. When you reboot Windows 95 after installation, you will receive a message notifying you that your display adapter is not configured properly. Click Cancel. 2. Right-click on My Computer and choose Properties. Click on the Device Manager tab. 3. Upon looking at the Device Manager, you'll notice that in addition to the S3 driver, there is a PCI VGA-Compatible Display Adapter listed in the Other Devices section. Select the PCI VGA-Compatible Display Adapter and click the remove button at the bottom of Device Manager. 4. A message box will appear notifying you that the Display Adapter has a ROM, cautioning you not to remove a device that Windows 95 may need in order to boot properly. As this is NOT THE CASE for this driver, click Test. Your screen may blank temporarily. Then the device will be removed. Click OK to close the device manager. 5. Next, double-click your desktop to open the Display Control Panel. Click the Settings tab. You will receive a message that the display hardware is not working properly. Click Cancel. 6.
