INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

1. Ensure that your PCMCIA device driver is running. You may do this by
   checking the devices from the Microsoft Windows NT diagnostic.     

2. Click on the network icon in the Control Panel.

3. In the Network Settings dialog box, select the Add Adapter button.

4. From the list of network cards, select "<other> Requires disk from
   manufacturer", and press the <Enter> button.

5. Insert the driver diskette in drive A: and type the pathname : A:\WINNT
   then click on the OK button.

6. Select your PCMCIA Ethernet Card from the list, and click on the OK
   button.

7. At the Network Card Setup dialog box, you need to specify an free IRQ
   (eg. 5, 10, 11) and a free I/O Port Address (eg. 0x300, 0x320). Select
   PCMCIA for the Bus Type.

8. The driver installation is now complete. Ensure that you have installed
   the correct software services and protocols.     

9. To complete network installation, remember to bind the adapter to
   transport drivers by selecting the "Bindings" button under the 
   "Network Setting" dialog box.

10. Restart the system to bring up the network. The PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter
    must be in the slot on bootup.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
