PCMCIA Ethernet/Fax/Modem Usages of LMVxD.386 Contents -------- Introduction Getting Started Support Options Copyrights, Trademarks, and Disclaimers Introduction ------------ This driver is for Windows 3.x based systems only. In order to get a DOS based system running see the other text files on this driver disk. LMVxD.386 enables the Modem once the ethernet adapter is initialized under DOS. Getting Started --------------- LMVxD.386 must reside in the same directory with either CARDEN.EXE or one of the other common card drivers that may already be installed. Users must adjust the COM IRQ through the Ports utility of the Control Panel in the Windows Main group before running serial communications programs. The COM IRQ number setting MUST NOT conflict with the IRQ of the LAN device, otherwise Windows will prompt user with a warning screen such as: "COM port not available, or has been registered by another device". When running Windows serial communication programs with LMVxD.386, do not use IRQ 7 or 15. Support Options --------------- We are consistently improving and upgrading our drivers.
