   driver for IBM DOS LAN Requester ver 1.3x workstation environments

   General Installation
   --------------------

       TokenExpress DOS NDIS driver
       ----------------------------
       1.  Insert the IBM LAN Support 1.35 (or 1.3x) diskette into drive A:.

       2.  Run the IBM LAN Support installation program by typing:

	      A:\DXMAID

       3.  When requested, insert the drivers diskette (disk 2) into
	   drive A: and enter the full pathname for the NDIS driver:

	      A:\DOS\TPRO.DOS

       4.  Follow the directions on your monitor to complete the installation.


       IBM DOS LAN Requester Software
       ------------------------------
       
       The IBM DOS LAN Requester software is currently packaged with 
       either LAN Server or LAN Enabler. Use the IBM DOS Lan Requester 
       Installation Manual for detailed installation instructions. 
       (The installation process copies the LAN Requester files needed 
       to connect to Lan Server).


   Hints and tips
   --------------

       Installing multiple adapters in the same computer
       -------------------------------------------------
       If you're installing multiple adapters using the NDIS 2.01
       driver, you may need to modify your PROTOCOL.INI file.
 
       Make sure the first adapter listed in your PROTOCOL.INI file
       has the lowest I/O address. For example:

	  [TPROEDOS_nif]
	  DriverName = TPRO$
	  IOADDRESS = 300

	  [TPROEDOS_nif]
	  DriverName = TPRO2$
	  IOADDRESS = 310

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
