ISA adapters in EISA slots
You can install the TokenExpress(TM) PRO ISA adapter in an
EISA slot. The installation procedure requires three
steps:
1. Putting the adapter in the computer.
2. Selecting the configuration settings from the
EISA Configuration Utility (ECU).
3. Configuring the adapter with TokenSet.
Put the adapter in the computer
===============================
Follow the procedure on page 3 of the Installation
Guide, but choose an EISA slot instead of an ISA slot.
Select the configuration settings from the ECU
==============================================
1. Restart the computer and exit the flash program.
You might need to boot from a clean DOS diskette or
bypass your memory manager driver (such as EMM386.SYS).
2. Run the most recent version of the ECU for this computer.
3. From the Main menu, select the command for
configuring the computer. When prompted, insert
the Configuration disk. The configuration
file for the adapter is !INT1020.CFG.
4. The ECU doesn't automatically detect ISA
adapters. Write down the settings you want to
assign to the TokenExpress PRO adapter and exit
the program. (You must choose settings that aren't
used by other devices in the computer.)
Configure the adapter with TokenSet
=====================================
1. Insert the Configuration disk into a drive,
switch to that drive, and type TOKENSET.
2. From the Main menu, select CHANGE ADAPTER
CONFIGURATION.
3. Select the configuration settings you chose in the
EISA configuration program.
4. Continue with the procedure on page 6 of the
Installation Guide.
