Windows for Workgroups 3.11 v1.00 Microsoft Windows* for Workgroups 3.11 installation notes for Intel's EtherExpress(TM) PRO/100B LAN Adapter ===================================================================== Location of Driver: \NDIS\E100B.DOS General Instructions -------------------- NOTE: If you are running Novell NetWare* on this workstation, see the Novell NetWare section of Hints and Tips below before continuing with this installation. 1 Double-click the Network Setup icon in the Network Group. 2 If you are replacing a previous LAN adapter, click the Remove button to delete that adapter. 3 Click on the Add Adapter button. 4 Select Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter. 5 Insert the adapter driver disk in drive A and specify the path A:\NDIS for the location of the driver. 6 Select the Intel EtherExpress PRO/100B adapter. 7 Specify the correct Line Speed. We recommend using Auto-Detect unless you're not going through a Hub and are connecting two PCs directly with a crossover cable. 8 Click Close and restart your computer when prompted for changes to take effect. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
