Thomas-Conrad Corporation NDIS 3.0 driver Installation Instructions This On-line document explains how to use the NDIS 3.0 driver for the TC4048 Token Ring PCI Adapter. This document includes instructions for installing the driver for Windows for Workgroups v3.11 and up and Windows NT 3.5 and up. *********** * TRTools * *********** You should run the TRTools diagnostic test suite on the adapter before you attempt to install drivers. TRTools will indicate serious hardware problems, such as hardware incompatibility or adapter faults. TRTools is the only way to set some of the options on the adapter that are not set with the OEMSETUP file. The options for Ring Speed and Locally Administered Node ID are the only options that are set with the OEMSETUP file. TRTools is used to change options for Ring Speed, Local Bus Speed, Post Write Enable, and SBCLK Ratio. *********************************************************************** * NOTE * * When using TRTools on a computer that runs Windows NT, you must * * reboot the computer in DOS and run TRTools in DOS only. TRTools * * will not run properly if you attempt to run it in a DOS window. * *********************************************************************** Installation for Windows for Workgroups 3.11 and up: ---------------------------------------------------- 1.
