************************************************************************************************* Trouble Shooting Tips ************************************************************************************************* If your Dialing Properties are not setup up correctly for your Computer, you may experience difficulties in dialing out using some TAPI applications. To fix this please follow these steps after having installed the Combo Modem \ Sound Card. Step 1. Click on the Start button >>> then click settings >>> then click on Control Panel then select the Modem Icon Step 2. Then click on Dialing Properties Step 3. Fill in the apporpriate infromation i.e. Area Code, Country Code, etc. Step 4. Click on 'OK'when finished to save changes It should now work with all TAPI applications. ************************************************************************************************* Modem Com Port Setup ************************************************************************************************* To change the Modem's Com Port: 1. Click on the Start Button and select Run under the Start menu. 2. Type Comsetup.exe and hit enter. 3. You may now choose Com Port 1 - 5 for your modem. Choose a Com Port that is not in use by your system. 4. Next open Control Panel >>> Select the Modem Icon >>> Select the Diagnostics tab >>> then highlight the new modem and click more info. It should NOT give an error message. 5. If you received no error message then the modem will return the correct information about the modem and your modem has finished the com port change. If you received an error message then the modem may be conflicting with an installed Com Port... please see part a. below a. First open the system icon in the Control Panel >>> Select the Device Manager tab. Find Ports and remove the com port in which you are trying to put the new modem on, once you have done this try steps 1-4 again.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
