 Before installing the latest printer driver, you must first 
 delete the existing printer driver installed in your PC.

 1. Click "Start" and "Control Panel", Click "Hardware and Sound" menu. 
 2. Click "Printer".
 3. Click your printer and Click "Delete this printer".
 4. Push "Alt" key.
 5. Click" File" and "Run as administrator", Click "Server Properties...".
 6. Select your printer driver in the "Drivers" tab, and Click "Remove...".
 7. Select "Remove driver and driver package.", and Click "OK".
 8. Click "Delete" and Click "OK".
 9. Click "Close".
 10. When the uninstallation process has completed, restart your computer.

  NOTE:
   If you are using a parallel or USB interface cable 
   (Local Port), turn the printer off before restarting 
   the computer.

A) Using USB interface cable

 1. Connect the USB cable to your computer and printer.
 2. Turn the printer on.
 3. "Found New Hardware" is displayed, 
    Click "Locate and install driver software (recommended)".
 4. Click "I don't have the disc. Show me other options".
 5. Click "Browse my computer for device software (advanced)".
 6. Click "Browse..." and select the PCL folder containing 
    the extracted files of the latest printer driver, then Click "OK". 
    (e.g.: C:\CL500\Vista64\PCL)
 7. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 8. If "Windows can't verify the publisher of this software" is displayed,
    Click on the "Install this driver software anyway".
 9. After the installation completed, Click "Close".

B) Using parallel interface cable.

 1. Click "Start" and "Control Panel", Click "Hardware and Sound" menu. 
 2. Click "Add a printer" in the "Printers" menu.
 3. Click the "Add a local printer".
 4. Click "Next".
 5. Use the following procedure when selecting your printer 
    model in the "Add Printer Wizard".
   (1) Click "Have Disk...".
   (2) Click "Browse..." and select the PCL folder containing 
       the extracted files of the latest printer driver, then Click "OK". 
       (e.g.: C:\CL500\Vista64\PCL)
 6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 7. If "Windows can't verify the publisher of this software" is displayed,
    Click "Install this driver software anyway".
