Readme.txt Driver File Contents (AtherosAR5007UG-ZD1211-WifiMax-Win7x64.zip)

Make sure all previous attempts to install this wireless LAN chipset are completely removed from your system!

Plug in your wifi card/usb and allow windows to tell you no driver can be found.

Go to the device manager (right click my computer> properties> device manager [top left])

Find your uninstalled hardware (should be "USB WLAN 2.0")

Select, then Right Click and click on "update driver"

Select Browse to the location of the driver

Find the driver folder from the tree and click OK.

Windows 7 will then find and successfuly install the driver!

Note: Immediately restart the computer, and do not expect this driver to work 1st time and posibly a bit of messing about, but it does work eventually... & It may require more than one restart.

I did disable IPv6 and anything else like AV software in the adaptor properties

If you still have no joy, make sure there is no remnants of any previous installer that didnt work for this hardware. It will interfere.

I'm not entirely sure how i got it to work, but it's the only solution available for this chipset on windows 7, and I'm using it now
