  Function:

    1. W940ND.VXD is a NDIS 3.x driver for Windows 95 Final Release Platform.

       If there exists only one 940 card, the driver will automatically get
       IOBASE and IRQ from PCI Configuration Space.

       If there exists more than oen 940 cards, user can indicate a specified
       940 card by inputing IDs.
       If user does not input IDs to select some specified 940 card, this
       driver will automatically select some 940 card to load.

    2. W940ND.INF is a Network Setup Information File for Windows 95 Platform.


  Installation:

    1. load W904ND.VXD and W940ND.INF files into local hard disk,
    2. click the 'Network' Icon in the Control Panel Group,
    3. click the 'Add' Buttom in the 'Network' Dialog Box,
    4. select the 'Adapter' item and click the 'Add' Button in the 'Select
       Network Component' Dialog Box,
    5. click the 'Have Disk' Button in the 'Select Network adapters' Dialog Box,
    6. type the path name that contains W940ND.VXD and W940ND.INF files and
       click the 'OK' Button,
    7. press <enter> when the 'Winbond W89C940 PCI Ethernet Adapter' Dialog
       appears,
    8. if want to enable early interrupt function, you can select the 'Winbond
       W89C940 PCI Ethernet Adapter' item and click the 'Properties' Button
       in the 'Network' Dialog Box,
       click the 'Advanced' Button,
       select the 'Early Interrupt Function' item,
       select 'Disable' or 'Enable' item,
       click the 'OK' Button when you finish,
    9. if exist more than one 940 cards in your system, you can select some
       specified 940 card by inputing Ethernet IDs,
       select the 'Winbond W89C940 PCI Ethernet Adapter' item in the 'Network'
       Dialog Box,
       click the 'Advanced' Button,
       select the 'Selected Etherent ID' item,
       type the Ethernet IDs,
       click the 'OK' Button when you finish,
    10.click the 'OK' Button when you finish all installation processes,
    11.restart your computer.


  Usage:

    1. Boot your computer.
    2. If want to change the setting of early interrupt function of this
       driver, please refer step 2 to step 11 in the Installation section.
    3. If there exists more than one 940 cards in your system, you can select
       some specified 940 card to load. (refer to step 2 to step 11 in the
       Installation section)


  Trouble Shooting:

    1. Message: 'Your network adapter Winbond W89C940 PCI Ethernet
                 Adapter[0000] is not working properly. You may need to set
                 it up again. For more information, see the Network
                 Troubleshooter in Windows Help.'
       Solution: Make sure that your W89C940 card is plugged into your system.

    2. Condition: The Windows 95 can not boot normally.
       Solution: Make sure that your W89C940 PCI card is connected to the
                 cable.
