GENERAL ISSUES FOR Windows Me
-----------------------------

1. GENERAL ISSUES
=================

(1) The camera icon may persist, causing an error the next time the
camera is connected, if, during a connection, the camera's power
is shut off, the USB cable is detached or the camera automatically
powers down after being left alone for an extended period. The
camera may not function correctly if reconnected during this
condition. If this happens, shut down and restart the computer
    before attempting to reconnect.

(2) If you have set the WIA Driver settings to start ZoomBrowser EX
when the camera is connected, the ZoomBrowser EX camera window may
not open automatically at startup. To use the camera window,
double-click the Canon camera icon in the ZoomBrowser EX window.

(3) If you have set [Save all pictures to this folder] in the camera
Properties, extensions are not added to the names of copied RAW
images and movies. Choose a copied image and select [Rename], or
uncheck [Save all pictures to this folder] then right-click the
camera icon and select [Save All...] from the pop-up menu.

(4) If you have set [Actions] in the camera Properties, in some cases
the settings may not be reflected.

(5) "TWAIN Data Source not found. Please reinstall scanner software."
    Error Message
If you have set the WIA Driver settings to start a specific
program when the camera is connected, that program may display an
error message similar to that above. If this happens, select
[WIA-(your camera model)] as the TWAIN device in that program and
    use the WIA-TWAIN Driver.

(6) RAW images and movies from the camera cannot be saved to the
    computer with the WIA-TWAIN Driver.

(7) Using the WIA-TWAIN Driver with the view setting set to [Detail]
may result in an error message or a system shutdown. If this
occurs, select the [Thumbnails] view setting to use the WIA-TWAIN
    Driver.

2. ISSUES WITH THE [SCANNER AND CAMERA WIZARD]
==============================================

(1) The image properties contents may be lost if an image in the
camera is rotated with the [Scanner and Camera Wizard].

(2) The thumbnail of an image in the camera that is saved to the
computer with the [Scanner and Camera Wizard] may appear in wrong
rotated orientation, regardless of whether the image was rotated
    in the Wizard, or not.

(3) Images rotated in camera are not displayed nor saved in their
rotated orientation in the [Scanner and Camera Wizard].

(4) Incorrect Time Setting with Auto Save The recording date of saved
images may be advanced or delayed several hours if you have set
the WIA Driver settings to automatically save all camera images to
disk when a camera is connected.

(5) If you copy image data by dragging and dropping it into another
folder from the window summoned by clicking [Explore Camera
(Advanced)] in the [Scanner and Camera Wizard], an error may occur
with subsequent use of the Wizard. To prevent this error, do not
copy image data from the window summoned by clicking [Explore
    camera (Advanced)] in the Wizard.

(6) RAW images and movies in the camera cannot be saved to the
computer with the [Scanner and Camera Wizard].

3. ISSUES REGARDING VIEWING AND ACQUIRING CAMERA IMAGES WITH [MY
   COMPUTER]
================================================================

(1) The camera images may not display correctly in the thumbnails list
created after opening the camera icon from [My Computer]. If this
happens, click the [View] menu and select [Refresh].

(2) The recording date of camera images saved to the computer by
dragging and dropping them in Windows Explorer may be advanced or
    delayed several hours.

(3) When RAW images and movies in the camera are copied to the
computer using drag-and-drop function, [Copy To] button, [Copy]
and [Paste] from the menu or other procedurs, the extensions are
not added to their names. To reverse to the original name, choose
an image and select [Rename] from the menu. Also the thumbnail
image files are not copied with the image files. If you wish to
include the thumbnail image file, choose an image and select
    [Save...] from the menu.

(4) When [Detail] is selected from the [View] menu, extensions are not
displayed in the names of RAW images and movies. To see the
extensions, choose an image and select [Properties] from the menu.

(5) Double-clicking RAW image or movie does not start up the
associated application. To start up the application, right-click
an image and select [Convert] or [Play], or choose the application
in the [Open With] dialog after double-clicking the image.
