SANYO.TXT Driver File Contents (SANYO95.EXE)

IMPORTANT: Make sure to read ALL instructions BEFORE restarting the 
	   computer or PRINT the README.TXT file and follow the instructions.

A.  1.  Click with the Right Mouse Button on the 'My Computer' Icon.
    2.  Click with the Left Mouse Button on 'Properties'.
    3.  Click with the Left Mouse Button on 'Device Manager'.
    4.  Click on the "+" next to the 'Hard Disk Controllers' entry. 
    5.  Attempt to remove all the entries under 'Hard Disk Controllers'. 
	(If prompted that the item cannot be removed, click Cancel and
        continue removing the next entry under 'Hard Disk Controllers'.)
        (If prompted to restart computer, choose no.  Continue until all
        entries under 'Hard Disk Controllers' are removed.)
    6.  Make sure ALL entries under 'Hard Disk Controllers' are removed
	before restarting Windows 95(TM).
    7.  Select Yes when prompted to restart Windows 95(TM). (If you are not
	prompted to restart, click 'Start' and 'Shut Down' and 'Restart the
	Computer'.)
    8.  Windows 95(TM) will restart.  Make sure there are no diskettes in the
	floppy drive.

B.  1.  Windows 95(TM) will report that an IDE controller has been detected
	in the system. Select the default driver.
    2.  Choose OK to load the default driver (This loads the Sanyo driver)
    3.  Select 'No' any time you are prompted to restart Windows 95(TM).
	(If prompted, choose the Windows default drivers)
    4.  When all controllers have been detected, you will no longer be 
	prompted to restart Windows 95(TM), at this time Shut Down and
	Restart your computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
