This README.TXT file contains information in addition to that
in the 3Com Megahertz LAN + 56K Modem PC Card User Guide. Also
refer to the Help text files for information about specific
operating systems. Most of the information in this README.TXT
file became available after the User Guide was produced.

in the \Help directory on the LAN + 56K Modem Installation CD
for more information.

2. Additional Information
While the instructions in the manual will be sufficient for
a majority of installations, refer to file WINNT.TXT in the
\Help directory on the LAN + 56K Modem Installation CD for more
detailed information.

3. Installing the LAN + 56K Modem Card
1. Insert the LAN + 56K Modem card into any available PC Card
slot in the computer.
2. Run EMENABLE.EXE. You might want to add this to your
CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
3. Install the networking software you plan to use.
Note: Because EMENABLE.EXE must run each time you boot your
computer, you may wan to add it to your CONFIG.SYS or
AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
Note: Your 3Com Megahertz LAN + 56K Modem card is not hot
swappable when installed using EMENABLE.EXE.

4. If any updated firmware exists, they will be located at our

instructions will also be included.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
