This is a new driver explicitly written for lk 2.6 based distributions. Known Restrictions: 4 =================== 1. This driver does not support the EOL controllers. Specifically, all IO based controllers are not supported.Support for controllers 467, 428, 438 etc. has been removed 2. This driver runs only on the controllers that are 64-bit enabled. No explicit checks are made for 64-bit signatures 3. This driver uses fully qualified PCI addresses to identify controllers. Therefore, if a new controller is introduced with only changed subsystem vendor id and subsystem id, driver changes would be required 4. Feature to be able to boot from any logical drive has been removed, since this is not an acceptable solution in Linux kernel community. Known Bugs: 0 ============ 1.
