USB Diskette Drive Option for the NEC Versa SXi

Installation Instructions:
Windows 98SE
1. Power on your NEC Versa SXi system.
2. Plug your USB Diskette Drive into your notebook's USB Port.
Windows will find the following hardware device:
"FlashBlaster-U"
3. Click the 'Next' button.
4. Select "Search for the best driver for your device."
Click the 'Next' button.
5. At the next window, select "Specify a location:" Then enter
the following path:
C:\Windows\Options\SXi-USBFDD432-98
6. Click 'OK'. Windows will find the following device:
"Y-E DATA FlashBlaster-U"
7. Click the 'Next' button.
During the copy process you may have to re-enter the path
where the drivers located. Simply enter:
C:\Windows\Options\SXi-USBFDD432-98
then click 'OK'.
8. Click the 'Finish' button once the install is complete.
Windows will the find the following device:
"USBFDD Port Driver"
9. Click the 'Next' button.
10. Select "Search for the best driver for your device."
Click the 'Next' button.
11. At the next window, select "Specify a location:"
Then enter the following path:
C:\Windows\Options\SXi-USBFDD432-98
Windows will find the following device:
"Y-E DATA FlashBlaster-U (VXD)"
12. Click the 'Next' button.
13. Click the 'Finish' button once the install is complete.
You are now ready to begin using your NEC Versa SXi USB Diskette Drive.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
