Using the appropriate motherboard jumper, enable bus master operations for the selected PCI slot. 2. Using the appropriate motherboard jumper, select the interrupt to the selected PCI slot. 3. Using your computer setup menu: * Enable the bus master on the PCI slot. * Enable I/O on the PCI slot. * Define the interrupt number on the PCI slot. ============================================================================= DEVICE DRIVER INSTALLATION GUIDE ============================================================================= 1. Boot your computer from Windows NT. 2. In the Program Manager Main window, double-click on the Control Panel icon. 3. Double-click on "Network". The Network Settings dialog box appears. 4. Select "Add Adapter". 5. When the list of available network adapters appears, click on the "Have Disk" option. 6. Insert the driver disk into drive A. Type the directory A:\WINNT into the box on your screen and press Enter key. 7. Select the "PNIC-100 Fast Ethernet Adapter". 8. Click Next, then install the network protocols and services that you want. See your Microsoft Winsows NT user guide(s) for more information. When you are finished, click on Next. 9. NT will ask you to choose a media type, select one of the following types and click on Continue. o AUTODETECT In AUTODETECT mode the driver supports run-time auto swap function. You can auto swap during run time from one hub to another. o TP_10 10Base-T Half-Duplex mode o TP_10+FulDuplex 10Base-T Full-Duplex mode o TP_100 100Base-Tx Half-Duplex mode o TP_100+FulDuplex 100Base-Tx Full-Duplex mode o TP_100_T4 100Base-T4 mode 10. NT will copy the necessary network drivers to your computer. Upon completion, you will see a list of installed bindings. You can change the bindings settings as necessary if needed. Click on Next, then Next again to start the NT network. 11. Enter your computer's Computer Name and choose either Workgroup or Domain, depending on the type of network you are setting up. You may change the name of Workgroup or Domain that it will appear in. When your are finished, click on Next, followed by Finish. 12. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
