Changing the Display Driver on your NEC Versa LXi Computer			
------------------------------------------------------------
1. From the Start menu, select 'Settings', select 'Control Panel',
   and double click on 'Display'.   
2. From the 'Settings' tab, press 'Display Type' and choose 'Change'.
3. In the 'Change Display' window click on 'Have Disk'.
4. In the 'Install From Disk' window type C:\Winnt\Options\LXi2-Video71108-NT and hit 'OK'.
5. The 'Change Display' window will come back with 'S3 Inc. Savage/IX Display Driver Version 7.11.08' in it.  
   Hit 'OK' to accept this driver.
6. The system informs you that you are about to install a third 
   party driver.  Click 'Yes' to proceed, and then 'OK' once the
   drivers are installed.
7. Close the 'Display Type' and 'Display Properties' windows.  
   Click 'Yes' to restart the computer, allowing the changes to take 
   effect.  
8. Upon reboot, click OK at the 'Invalid Display Settings' window.
9. Click OK to close the 'Display Properties' window.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
