Intel 810 Chipset Installation Instructions. 1. Click Start - Settings - Control Panel. 2. Double click the System icon in the Control Panel. 3. Click on the Device Manager Tab at the top. 4. Search for the section titled "Other Devices". 5. Click on the + sign next to other devices to expand it if present. 6. Highlight the first device in the other devices list and click the Remove button. 7. Repeat steps 4 through 6 until the Other devices section is gone. 8. Search for any device with a yellow exclamation point next to it. 9. Highlight the device and click the Remove button. 10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 until no devices with esclamation points remain. 11. Restart the computer. When Windows loads, the devices will be properly detected. Note: You may need the Windows 98 CD or simply the Windows 98 CAB files during the driver installation. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
