Yamaha OPL3-SAx Sound Drivers for Windows 95 - Version: 4.05.2336,
for the Versa 2700 Series.

The only difference between the original version that was included
in the NEC factory hotload, and this version - is that in this version
(v4.05.2336) the "YAMAHA OPL3-SA SoftSynth" ("Software" Synthesizer)
component has been removed. Removal of the "Software" synthesizer
component will still leave the Yamaha OPL3-SA "FM" Synthesizer and the
Yamaha OPL3-SA "MPU401" available to the user, but will free up memory
that may be needed by other drivers.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

Note: The following detailed procedure assumes that you are starting
with the standard NEC factory Win95 hotload, and you have copied the
new (Yamaha) release to a diskette.

- Insert the floppy that contains the v4.05.2336 release into the floppy
  drive.

- To begin the necessary "uninstall" process, run SAUNINST.EXE from
  Windows Explorer.

- Push the 'NEXT' button to continue with the uninstall process.

- Select the 'NO' radio button when queried to "Do you wish to remove
the joystick device?", and then push the 'NEXT' button to continue.

- Push the 'FINISH' button to complete the uninstall process.

- Remove the floppy when prompted (before Win95 restarts) and push 'OK'.

- After rebooting, Win95 will bring up a box citing "New Hardware Found",
and identifying an "Unknown Device". Win95 will then bring up an
'Update Device Driver Wizard' to proceed with the installation.

- Reinsert the (Yamaha v4.05.2336) diskette into the floppy drive and
  push the 'NEXT' button.

- When the wizard reports that it has found the updated driver for the
'Yamaha OPL3-Sax Sound System', push the 'FINISH' button.

- You will receive a Win95 message asking you to "INSERT THE DISK
LABELED OPL3-SAX DRIVER FOR WINDOWS95 DISK". Push the 'OK' button.

- You will receive a message stating "THE FILE CPL32APL.CPL ON THE
OPL3-SAX DRIVER FOR WINDOWS95 DISK COULD NOT BE FOUND". In the
'copy files from:' selection - type A: and then push the 'OK' button.

- This will copy the necessary files and complete the uninstall of the
original Yamaha sound drivers AND will install the new Yamaha
  (v4.05.2336) sound drivers.
