 Samsung is not responsable for problems during the firmware upgrade. 
 When you encounter problems during the upgrade, please contact a Samsung Service Center.
 If your drive is still in warranty please contact your retailer first. 

 When you upgrade your firmware, please check the "Buyer" on your label of drive.
 If you upgrade wrong firmware, you will have a problem in operating.

¢À How to upgrade your firmware in Dos mode ¢À

   1. Donwload firmware file to the Directory(C:)

   2. Reboot your pc.

   3. If you press F8 in the Boot, Windows95/98 Start-up menu will be appeared.(In case
      of window me/2000 , they are not supported in Dos mode, please boot using 
      booting disket/cd)

   4. If you see windiws95/98 start up menu, you can find "Dos prompt mode or
      Command prompt only". Then please choose this mode and boot.

   5. If the booting is finished in dos mode, please move to the Directory(c:)that you 
      downloaded firmware file.
      (Write C:W>CD "DIRECTORY NAME" to move to Directory in Dos mode) 

   6. Run "FROMDOS.EXE"

   7. When your cursor is in file ,touch "Enter key" then you can see "SUB Menu".

   8. If a cursor is on "Open" in the SUB MENU, hit "Enter key" then your "open file' 
      is displayed. 
      Choose "N100.OBJ file" using "Scroll key" and then hit " Enter key"

   9. Please hit "Enter key" again when you see "OK"

   10. Then the"Open file" is disappeared and you can see "Main menu".
       After that, move your cursor to "Flash" and hit "Enter key".

   11. If you hit "Enter key" in Flash download, it will start to upgrade firmware.

   12. If your firmware upgrading is completed perfectly, you can see the message
       "DOWNLOAD COMPLETE, RESET YOUR PC"

   13. Then power the pc off.(Don't use Ctrl+Alt+Del).

How To Update Drivers Manually

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
