How to flash the BIOS.txt Driver File Contents (6501_v191.zip)

--Quick Guide for flashing BIOS, provided by Server dept.--
1. Go to BIOS setup then to Advanced BIOS features, enable the BIOS flash write control
   (Some motherboard BIOS did not provide BIOS protect function, please ignore this step
    if no such item can be found in BIOS setup)
2. Create a MS-DOS bootdisk contains awdflash.exe and BIOS file you want to flash in ROM
    Both files can be found in package you download.
3. Boot from MS-DOS boot disk
4. Input "awdflash w6501kms.xxx /sn/py/cc/cp/f", then press ENTER
    "w6501kms.xxx" is your BIOS file name
5. The flash program will then ask "Do you want to save BIOS?", please press "N" for no. The when you see Press 'Y' to program or 'N' to Exit, please press "Y" to continue.
6. After flashing complete, press F1.
7. Press DELETE when first reboot after flashing.
8. Load BIOS optimized defaults, then save settings and exits.Some unexpected error may 
   occur if this step is not completed.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
