************************************Important!*************************** Host Bus Adapters (HBA) with model number LSI2x320-IS should not use this firmware. These HBAs are made specifically for third party vendors and require vendor specific firmware. Contact your vendor for appropriate BIOS and firmware for these cards. ************************************************************************* The steps to flash an LSI2x320 (non-R) controller are: 1. Download the current Initiator/Target (IT) version of Fusion-MPT BIOS and firmware. Using Winzip or other compatible software extract the files onto a blank floppy diskette. 2. Create a DOS bootable diskette. This can be a basic DOS boot disk without a config.sys or autoexec.bat, or if you have a Windows 98 Boot disk, you can boot using this boot diskette, bypass the config.sys and autoexec.bat files by holding down the left shift key during boot. Refer to your Operating System documentation for specific instructions on creating a DOS compatible boot diskette. Boot disk images are also available from www.bootdisk.com (not affiliated with LSI Logic). 3. Reboot the system, and boot from the bootable floppy. At the A:\ prompt, remove the boot diskette and insert the diskette with the extracted LSI Logic rom and firmware image files. 4. At the A:> prompt, type 'flsh1030 /b:mptps.rom' Press enter. The flash utility will flash the HBA's BIOS. 5. At the A:> prompt, type 'flsh1030 /f:it_1030.fw' FOR the LSI53C1030T or the LSI53C1020A 'flsh1030 /f:it_1030T.fw Press enter. The flash utility will flash the HBA's Firmware Notes: *** The flsh1030 executable file can flash both bios and fw concurrently by putting both switches on the command line. 'flsh1030 /b:mptps.rom /f:it_1030.fw' Additional instructions for the flash utility are located in the Flash 1030.txt file in this zip package. ***LSI Logic recommends backing up the current version of BIOS and Firmware to file before updating the HBA. The diskette created with the new image files should have adequate space for these files. *** The BIOS .rom image and the Firmware .fw image names may change from the examples given in steps 4 and 5 above. Before starting the flash utility make a note of the file names for both images.Download Driver Pack
