This diskette contains drivers and utilities for the following operating
systems:

Novell Netware 3.x
Novell Netware 4.x
Microsoft Windows NT 3.5
OS/2 2.11 and Warp 3.0
Utilities for UnixWare 2.x
Utilities for Banyan Vines 6.x

There is a second diskette included with Software Kit 1.04 that contains
the drivers and utilities for SCO Unix 3.2.4.2 (ODT 3.0).  The drivers and utilities
are version 4.00.  The file README.SCO in the root directory of this diskette contains 
last minute information regarding the SCO drivers and utilities.

There is a third diskette that contains drivers and utilities for SCO OpenServer 5.0.  This
is Version 4.03 of the SCO OpenServer Drivers and Utilities diskette.  Instructions on its 
use are included in the DAC960 Software Kit Manual.  Last minute changes and instructions 
are included in the README.SCO file in the root directory of this diskette.

Drivers for UnixWare 2.x are shipped with the operating system.

Drivers for Banyan Vines 6.x will be available from Banyan in their driver upgrades.  Currently,
they can be downloaded from the Banyan FTP site at  ftp.banyan.com.  The filename for the
DAC960 Driver is "drv010.zip".  In addition, a patch must be downloaded for certain PCI
boards including the PCI DAC960's.  The patch's filename is "drv008.zip" and is available from the same FTP site.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
