ELECTRONIC END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT


NOTICE TO USER:
 THIS IS A CONTRACT.  BY INDICATING YOUR ACCEPTANCE BELOW, YOU ACCEPT ALL THE TERMS AND
 CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDING IN PARTICULAR THE LIMITATIONS ON: USE CONTAINED
 IN SECTIONS 2 AND 4; AND WARRANTY AND LIABILITY IN SECTION 5.  YOU AGREE THAT THIS
 AGREEMENT IS ENFORCEABLE LIKE ANY WRITTEN NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT SIGNED BY YOU.

 This End User License Agreement accompanies the PostScript(R) driver software product,
 other software and related explanatory materials collectively the ("Software"). 

 Upon your acceptance of this Agreement, Adobe grants to you a nonexclusive license to
 use the Software, provided that you agree to the following:

 1.  Definitions. "Adobe" means Adobe Systems Incorporated, a Delaware corporation, 345
 Park Avenue, San Jose, California 95110, if subsection 6(a) of this Agreement applies;
 otherwise it means Adobe Systems Benelux BV, Europlaza, Hoogoorddreef 54a, 1101 BE
 Amsterdam ZO, the Netherlands, a company organized under the laws of the Netherlands and
 an affiliate and licensee of Adobe Systems Incorporated. 

 2.  Use of the Software. You may install and use (i) the Postscript driver software
 product on any number of printers containing PostScript software from Adobe and an
 unlimited number of CPUs, or (ii) the Software in conjunction with the corresponding
 application software from Adobe with which this Software is bundled, regardless of which
 type of printer you are using.

 3.  Copyright and Trademark Rights.  The Software, and any copies you are authorized by
 Adobe to make, are owned by Adobe and its suppliers, and its structure, organization and
 code are the valuable trade secrets and confidential information of Adobe and its
 suppliers.  The Software also is protected by copyright, including without limitation by
 United States Copyright Law, international treaty provisions, and applicable laws in the
 country in which it is being used. Except as expressly stated above, this Agreement does
 not grant you any intellectual property rights in the Software.

 4.  Restrictions. You agree not to modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile,
 disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Software, except to
 the extent (a) you may be expressly permitted to decompile under applicable law, (b) it
 is essential to do so in order to achieve operability of the Software with another
 software program, and (c) you have first requested that Adobe provide the information
 necessary to achieve such operability and Adobe has not made such information available.
 Adobe has the right to impose reasonable conditions and to request a reasonable fee
 before providing such information. Any information supplied by Adobe or obtained by you,
 as permitted hereunder, may only be used by you for the purpose described herein and may
 not be disclosed to any third party or used to create any software which is substantially
 similar to the expression of the Software. Requests for information should be directed to
 the appropriate Adobe Customer Support Department listed at
 http://www.adobe.com/support/phonenumbers/main.html.

 5.  NO WARRANTY.  The Software is being delivered to you "AS IS" and Adobe makes no
 warranty as to its use or performance.  ADOBE AND ITS SUPPLIERS DO NOT AND CANNOT WARRANT
 THE PERFORMANCE OR RESULTS YOU MAY OBTAIN BY USING THE SOFTWARE OR DOCUMENTATION.  EXCEPT
 FOR ANY WARRANTY, CONDITION, REPRESENTATION OR TERM TO THE EXTENT TO WHICH THE SAME
 CANNOT OR MAY NOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED BY LAW APPLICABLE TO YOU IN YOUR JURISDICTION,
 ADOBE AND ITS SUPPLIERS MAKE NO WARRANTIES CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS, OR TERMS,
 (EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WHETHER BY STATUTE, COMMON LAW, CUSTOM, USAGE OR OTHERWISE, AS TO ANY
 MATTER INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS,
 MERCHANTABILITY, INTEGRATION, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR
 PURPOSE).  IN NO EVENT WILL ADOBE OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGES,
 CLAIMS, COSTS WHATSOEVER OR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR SPECIAL
 DAMAGES, OR ANY LOST PROFITS OR LOST SAVINGS, EVEN IF AN ADOBE REPRESENTATIVE HAS BEEN
 ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS, DAMAGES, CLAIMS OR COSTS OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY
 THIRD PARTY.  The foregoing limitations and exclusions apply to the extent permitted by
 applicable law in your jurisdiction.  Nothing contained in this Agreement limits Adobe's
 liability to you in the event of death or personal injury resulting from Adobe's
 negligence or for the tort of deceit (fraud).  Adobe is acting on behalf of it's
 suppliers for the purpose of disclaiming, excluding and/or limiting obligations,
 warranties and liability as provided in this Agreement, but in no other respects and for
 no other purpose.

 6. Governing Law and General Provisions.  This Agreement will be governed by and
 construed in accordance with the substantive laws in force: (a) in the State of
 California, if a license to the Software is acquired when you are in the United States,
 Canada, or Mexico; or (b) in Japan, if a license to the Software is acquired when you are
 in Japan, China, Korea, R.O.C, or other Southeast Asian country where all official
 languages are written in either an ideographic script (e.g., hanzi, kanji, or hanja),
 and/or other script based upon or similar in structure to an ideographic script, such as
 hangul or kana; or (c) the Netherlands, if a license to the Software is acquired when you
 are in any other jurisdiction not described above. The respective courts of Santa Clara
 County, California when California law applies, Tokyo District Court in Japan, when
 Japanese law applies, and the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, when the law of the
 Netherlands applies,shall each have non-exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes relating
 to this Agreement.This Agreement will not be governed by the conflict of law rules of any
 jurisdiction or the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of
 Goods, the application of which is expressly excluded.

 7. Notice to U.S. Government End Users.  The Software and Documentation are "Commercial
 Items," as that term is defined at 48 C.F.R. §2.101, consisting of "Commercial Computer
 Software" and "Commercial Computer Software Documentation," as such terms are used in 48
 C.F.R. §12.212 or 48 C.F.R. §227.7202,as applicable. Consistent with 48 C.F.R. §12.212 or
 48 C.F.R. §§227.7202-1 through 227.7202-4, as applicable, the Commercial Computer Software
 and Commercial Computer Software Documentation are being licensed to U.S. Government end
 users (a) only as Commercial Items and (b) with only those rights as are granted to all
 other end users pursuant to the terms and conditions herein. Unpublished-rights reserved
 under the copyright laws of the United States. Adobe Systems Incorporated, 345 Park 
 Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110-2704, USA. For U.S. Government End Users, Adobe agrees to 
 comply with all applicable equal opportunity laws including, if appropriate, the 
 provisions of Executive Order 11246, as amended,Section 402 of the Vietnam Era Veterans

 Before installing the latest printer driver, you must first 
 delete the existing printer driver installed on your PC.

 1. Click "Start", and then Click "Run...".
 2. Click "Browse...", select "DrvUnIns.exe" in the extracted 
    folder which contains the latest printer driver. 
     (e.g.: C:\CL510\Win9x\PS\DrvUnIns.exe)
 3. Click "OK", to start the uninstaller.
 4. Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall the 
    existing printer driver.
 5. When the uninstall process has completed, restart your 
    computer.
 
  NOTE:
   If you are using a parallel or USB interface cable 
   (Local Port), turn the printer off before restarting 
   the computer.

 1. Click "Start", select "Settings", and then click "Printers".
    >For Windows Server 2003:
     Click "Start", then click "Printers and Faxes".
    >For Windows XP Professional:
     Click "Start", then click "Printers and Faxes".
    >For Windows XP Home:
     Click "Start" and "Control Panel", click on the 
     "Printers and Other Hardware" icon, 
     and then click on the "Printers and Faxes" icon.
 2. Double click the "Add Printer" icon.
    >For Windows XP:
     Click on "Add a printer".
 3. Use the following procedure when selecting your printer 
    model in the "Add Printer Wizard".
   (1) Click "Have Disk...".
   (2) Click "Browse..." and select the PS folder containing 
       the extracted file of the latest printer driver. 
       (e.g.: C:\CL510\Win9x\PS)
 4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 5. After completing installation, turn the printer on.

  NOTE:
   >For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003:
    If you are using a parallel or USB interface cable 
    (Local Port) and the "Found New Hardware Wizard" window 
    is displayed when Windows restarts, then you should 
    carry out the following steps.

  (1) Click on the "Install from a list or specific location 
      (Advanced)" check button and click "Next>".
  (2) Click on the "Search for the best driver in these locations."
      check button and 
      the "Include this location in the search:" check box, 
      and remove the check mark from 
      the "Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...)" check box.  
      Click "Browse".
  (3) Select the PS folder containing the extracted file of 
      the latest printer driver.
      (e.g.: C:\CL510\Win200x\PS or C:\CL510\WinXP\PS")
      Click "OK".
  (4) Click "Next>".
  (5) Click "Finish".

   >For Windows 98 and Windows Me:
    To install USB Plug and Play, you need to download 
    "USB Port Monitor" from the Panasonic website    
 (http://panasonic.co.jp/pcc/products/en/printer/model/clp/cl500/cl500download.htm).

    For details, please refer to Readme.txt in the extracted 
    folder which contains "USB Port Monitor".

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
