    1. Install WebPAM PRO
    --------------------------------------------------------

	WebPAM PRo consists of three software features - Server, Agent, and CLI.
    During WebPAM PRO installation, the user will be given two installation 
    options - 'Typical' and 'Custom'. 'Typical' installation option will install 
    all three software features. 'Custom' installation option will allow the user
    to select which software feature to be installed. The Utility Server and the
    Agent can be installed separately on different host PC but the Agent must 
    always be installed on the host PC where the SuperTrak SAS/SATA RAID controller 
    resides.   

       There are two methods of Installation. One is normal installation, which
    will display GUI part and users can select which feature and where to install. 
    Another is silent installation, which uses default setting and users can't 
    change any settings.
 
    For Windows
    -----------

      Normal installation:

        Installation - 
          1. Insert the Product CD, click 'WebPAM PRO software' button and click 
             'Install WebPAM PRO for Windows' button  
          2. Follow the instructions to complete the installation
          3. After installation completion, double click 'WebPAMPRO' icon on the
             desktop to launch the software

        Uninstallation -
          1. Select 'Add or Remove Programs' from Control Panel
          2. Select 'WebPAM PRO' and click 'Change/Remove' button

      Silent installation:

        Installation - 
          1. Copy the 'WebPAMPRO_x.xx.xxxx.xx_win.exe' file from the 
             \WebPAMPRO\Windows directory in the Product CD to C:\ 
          2. Go to C:\ and type 'WebPAMPRO_x.xx.xxxx.xx_win.exe /s' at command
             prompt (e.g., WebPAMPRO_3.12.0000.00_win.exe /s)

             If you'd like to change path, please type 
             WebPAMPRO_x.xx.xxxx.xx_win.exe /s /v"/qn INSTALLDIR=D:\Destination"
             (e.g., WebPAMPRO_3.12.0000.00_win.exe /s /v"/qn INSTALLDIR=C:\WebPAMPRO") 

          3. After installation completion, double click 'WebPAMPRO' icon on the 
             desktop to launch the software

        Uninstallation -
          1. Go to C:\ and type 'WebPAMPRO_x.xx.xxxx.xx_win.exe /s /x' at command
             prompt (e.g., WebPAMPRO_3.12.0000.00_win.exe /s /x)

    2. Run WebPAM PRO Utility Server
    --------------------------------------------------------

    1. Double click 'WebPAMPRO' icon on the desktop, or 
       for Windows 
          go to Start ->All Programs -> WebPAMPRO -> Server -> Open
    2. Enter 'administrator' and 'password' for User Name and Password 
    3. After login, click 'Subsystem/Host Management' and 'Add Subsystem/Host' tab
    4. Enter the Host IP address and click 'Submit' button

    NOTE:
       If the browser shows some security exception, when the first time WebPAM PRO
    screen is launched, the user needs to click on the link, accept the exception 
    and install the certificate. Once the certificate is installed permanently, 
    next time the browser won’t provide an error when the WebPAM PRO is launched.

    3. Install Command Line Interface (CLI)
    ---------------------------------------------------------

       You can install CLI as a stand-alone utility without installing WebPAM PRO.
    FreeBSD and VMware are always the cases because WebPAM PRO does not support 
    these two OS platforms.

    For Windows
    -----------

      Installation:
        1. Insert the Product CD, click 'CLI/SNMP' button, and click 'Install CLI
           for Windows' button
        2. Follow the instructions to complete the installation. 

      Uninstallation:
        1. Select 'Add or Remove Programs' from Control Panel
        2. Select 'WebPAM PRO' and click 'Change/Remove' button

      Launch:
        1. Double click 'CLI' icon on the Desktop or
        2. Select 'Start', 'All Programs', 'WebPAMPRO', 'CLI', then click 'CLI' or
        3. Go to the INSTALLATION_HOME_DIR\Agent\bin directory 
           (e.g., C:\Program Files(x86)\WebPAMPRO\Agent\bin")
        4. type 'cliib' to start CLI

      NOTE: 
         For Windows Vista, before starting CLI, please right-click the 'CLI' icon,
      choose 'run as administrator', and start cliib.

    4. Configure CIM
    --------------------------------------------------------

    Change CIM user information:
      1. Select 'Start' and 'Run...' and enter 'cmd' to start Command Prompt
      2. Go to the INSTALLATION_HOME_DIR\Agent\bin directory 
         (e.g., "C:\Program Files\Promise\WebPAMPRO\Agent\bin")
      3. Type "cimuser -h" to display on-line help messages
      4. To change the password for the user, type 
         cimuser -m -u username -w oldpassword -n newpassword
      5. To list all current users for the agent, type
         cimuser -l
      6. To remove any of the current user, type
         cimuser -r -u username

    NOTE: 
       You need to login as administrator to change CIM user information. If you 
    change the CIM password from command line, you must also change the CIM password
    from WebPAM PRO GUI.

    Change CIM password from WebPAM PRO:
      1. Click 'Software Management' icon from the left tree window
      2. Click 'CIM Settings' tab
      3. Type new password and re-type the new password to confirm
      4. Click 'Submit' button

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
