How to Use This Document

To view the Readme file on-screen in Windows Notepad, maximize the Notepad window. On the Format menu, click Word Wrap. To print the Readme file, open it in Notepad or another word processor, and then use the Print command on the File menu.

1. INSTALLATION

You must have administrator's right to install this software
- Click on the download link on the Web page.
- You can select to run the setup program or save the setup program on your local disk.
- Follow the instructions on the installation.
- At the end of the installation you will need to reboot your computer.

2. COMPATIBILITY

The U.are.U Fingerprint Reader Driver Update is compatible with all the DigitalPersona products except One Touch for Linux SDK, JavaPos SDK and Gold CE SDK.

3. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum system requirements:
- Pentium-class processor
- 12 MB disk space
- USB port

4. RELEASE NOTES
-----------------
4.1 This update will enable the support of the new U.are.U 4500 Fingerprint Reader for DigitalPersona products.
4.2 This update also adds support for the Server 2003 (x86 and x64) and Server 2008 (x86 and x64) operating systmes.
4.3 For customer who has already downloaded and running DP00_02_002 does not need to upgrade to DP00_02_003. The only difference between DP00_02_002 and DP00_02_003 is the installation for DP00_02_003 unblocks the XP Home check. This patch is not intended to be installed on top of DP00_02_002.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
