1. INSTALLATION

You must have administrator's right to install this software.

- Click on the download link on the Web page.
- You can select to run the setup program or save the setup program on your local disk.
- Follow the instructions on the installation.
- At the end of the installation you will need to reboot your computer.

2. COMPATIBILITY

This update is compatible with all DigitalPersona Windows products and is recommended for use with all U.are.U 4500 Rev. 102 readers.

Minimum system requirements:

- Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP; Microsoft Windows Vista; Microsoft Windows Server 2003; Microsoft Windows Server 2008.

4. RELEASE NOTES
-----------------

4.1 This update improves the sensitivity to finger touch of DigitalPersona U.are.U 4500 Rev. 102 fingerprint readers and will be most noticeable to users with difficult to read fingerprints. It also reduces the chance of stray blinking of the reader LEDs. This update is recommended for use with all U.are.U 4500 Rev. 102 readers.

4.2 Apply this update to each Windows system to be used with U.are.U 4500 Rev. 102 readers.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
