install M3291 steps,
1. Connect 25x2 cable and serial 2x5 cable (*).
2. Set jumper as picture marked. this jumper is set MB NIC support ASF or IPMI. some boards don't have this jumper.
3. Flash BMC firmware 
4. run m3291.cfg (cfg.bat/linuxcfg)
5. Flash nic EEP image if the package has nic EEP folder.
6. Connect LAN cable to  IPMI NIC as picture marked.
7. Use UH8d(dos) or UH8l(linux) tool set password.
8. Set MAC/IP to BMC. For intel 82551,82541, BMC use share mode. Set MAC/IP to same as NIC lable. other NICs use dedicate mode. the firmware flash batch file will auto-load SMDC MAC address.(ih8d /imac)

(*) early motherboard has to use serial cable to SOL. new board support both serial cable or no serial cable.

Following list boards have to use serial cable. 
S2891, S2892, S4881,S4885, S4985, S5197, S5350, S5360

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
