***************************************************************************** INSTALLING THE NETWARE DOS IPX SERVER DRIVER (Version 2.2 Only) ***************************************************************************** Step 1. Format a blank floppy giving it a volume label of LAN_DRV_422. Copy the following files from the enclosed diskette to this newly created floppy: a:\netware\srvipx\ADEPCA.OBJ a:\netware\srvipx\BDEPCA.OBJ a:\netware\srvipx\CDEPCA.OBJ a:\netware\srvipx\DDEPCA.OBJ a:\netware\srvipx\DEPCAOS.LAN Step 2. To create a new server IPX use Novell's SHGEN utility following the directions in Novell's manual "INSTALLING and MAINTAINING THE NETWORK" page 51. For step 4b of the instructions use the LAN_DRV_422 floppy created in step I.E.1, and select DEC DE100/DE200/DE210/DE422 v1.03EC (921105). *NOTE* This will create an IPX.COM using the default settings for the DEC EtherWORKS Adapter as shown below. To modify the IPX.COM for settings other than default use the Novell utilities JUMPERS/ECONFIG. Consult the Novell manuals for instructions. Example of Default Settings: MEMORY ADDRESS = D000 I/O ADDRESS = 0300 IRQ = 5 FRAME = 802.3 Note that the IRQ, MEMORY ADDRESS, and I/O ADDRESS of the DEC EtherWORKS Adapter must not conflict with other PC adapters installed in the PC. I.E.3 Once IPX.COM has been created add it to the Startup file of the PC along with the appropiate NETx.EXE file. Example startup file: C:\IPX C:\NETx NOTE: The NETWARE IPX Drivers currently support 64KB and 32KB modes only.Download Driver Pack
