Plug and Play problems ========================= If Plug and Play does not work when you connect the scanner to the computer, follow the instructions below. <<For Windows Me and Windows 98 users>> 1. Unplug the scanner from your computer. 2. Install EPSON TWAIN from the scanner software CD-ROM. 3. Plug in the scanner after the installation is finished. <<For Windows 2000 users>> 1. Right-click the My Computer icon, then select Properties. 2. Select the Hardware tab and click the Device Manager button. 3. Remove the scanner listed under Other Devices. 4. Unplug the scanner from your computer. 5. Install EPSON TWAIN from the scanner software CD-ROM. 6. Plug in the scanner after the installation is finished. NOTE: To install or remove EPSON TWAIN in Windows 2000, you must be logged on as an Administrator. In Windows 2000, the scanner must be connected to the computer when removing it from the Other Devices list. If the scanner is not connected, it will not appear in the list. 2. Updating EPSON TWAIN in Windows 2000 ======================================= To update from a previous version of EPSON TWAIN, follow the instructions below. 1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, then select Control Panel. Double-click the Scanners and Cameras icon. 2. Remove the scanner from the device list. 3. Unplug the scanner from your computer and restart your computer. 4. Install EPSON TWAIN from the scanner software CD-ROM. 5. Plug in the scanner after the installation is finished. NOTE: To install or remove EPSON TWAIN, you must be logged on as an Administrator. The scanner must be connected to the computer when removing it from the device list. If the scanner is not connected, it will not appear in the list.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
